History
After a dispute erupted between John Houlding (the owner of the land at anfield and also the club president ) and the Everton Committee, Liverpool FC was founed in 1892, so the club is the grand old age of 123 years. It was originally named Everton FC, before being changed to Liverpool FC.

Liverpool’s first big achievement was in making it to the first FA Cup Final in 1914 , which they went on to lose to Burnley 1-0. During the 1953-54 season from Division 1 they were relegated. They were promoted back to Division 1 in 1962 and went on to win the title in 1964.

Under the guidance of Paisley, the club was able to win 21 trophies in a span of just 9 years. Liverpool became the first English football team to win three trophies in a single season through the guidance of their manager, Joe Fagan.
Kenny Dalglish took charge of the club after Fagan retired and he helped the team win two FA Cups and three League Cups with the team. Their success was short lived though due to the Hillsborough disaster which took place during the FA Cup semifinal match against Nottingham Forest in 1989. Hundreds of fans lost their lives when the perimeter fence crushed them.

The appointment of Rafael Benitez changed Liverpool’s fortune in the European tournament as they won the UEFA Champions League after defeating AC Milan 3-2 , after a penalty shootout.

Roy Hodgson then took over from Rafael Benitez, who left the club by mutual consent. Other notable managers who took charge of the team include Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp. The appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager made him the third foreign manager in the clubs history.

Jurgen Klopp may not have had the dream season he hoped for, but when you look at Liverpool’s performance this season, you can certainly see glimmers of hope for the future. They have managed to qualify for the Final of the Europa Cup after knocking out Villarreal FC in the semifinals for instance.

2015-16 Season
The club may not have had a successful 2015-16 season in the league but they surely look dangerous especially as the league comes to an end. Divock Origi has shown some world-class performances which will surely book him a spot in Euro 2016.
